To speed up your PC, by far the simplest way available is to perform a defragmentation of your hard disk drive. This is a fairly time consuming process but a speed increase of around 2-3% should be noted. It is important to remember that, while this doesn't sound a great deal, if you add this to other tips and tweaks the speed increase margin becomes significant.
